In 2008 she met her future husband WO Ted MacLeod (LdSH (RC) at the OMMC Course in Winnipeg, and in 2010 relocated to Calgary. Between 2010 she volunteered and worked on contract for various small museums in the Calgary area, and in 2013 took the position of executive director of the Hangar Flight Museum. In 2013 she graduated from Leicester University with a master’s degree in museum studies. In 2016 she was elected to the Board of the OMMC and proudly served as president from 2022 to 2025.

She currently lives on the side of a mountain on the shores of Kootenay Lake in British Columbia, where she spends her time chopping firewood, catching skunks and creating art.
